Summer is here and legislative session has come and gone — mahalo to all who supported HIPHI and our policy priorities this legislative session. Our 2019 legislative agenda highlighted 21 legislative policies to advance public health, as submitted by HIPHI and our partners. Seven of these made it across the finish line, including two top priorities for HIPHI and the Obesity Prevention Task Force!
To see which bills made it through and which didn’t, be sure and get a copy of our 2019 Legislative Recap at our second annual summer social event this coming Thursday, June 20. We hope you can join us and celebrate the end of the legislative session, recognize a few outstanding youth advocates, and network with other public health partners, advocates, and policymakers. Register here.
