Be Kind This Holiday Season

  • News

Not everyone finds the holidays a time of joy, celebration, and cheer. For 280 million people worldwide who suffer from depression or other mental health symptoms, the holiday season can worsen daily challenges.

Holiday celebrations can add pressures on individuals, families, finances, schedules, and relationships, and lead to stress, anxiety, fatigue, irritability, difficulty concentrating, and depression. Celebrations can also reflect loneliness and grief. Together, we can be aware of how our friends and families encounter the season. Recognizing that the holidays can bring about the blues for some, we encourage you to check on one another and spread kindness during the holiday season.
