Please join us for a visit to the agriculture program at Waimea High School! This student-lead program is weaved into their daily curriculum. Students are managing the farm which involves planting, caring for the garden, harvesting the food as well as selling their products on campus. And their crops don’t stop at fruits and vegetables! It also includes aquaculture ponds with tilapia and chickens for eggs.

Agriculture is a large part of Hawaii’s economy and this program is not only teaching the students farming, but also self-sustainability, how to live a healthy lifestyle, and business skills.
