Leadership Skills and Grant Writing for Sustainability Sponsored by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP), and Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division (ADAD) at Hawaiʻi Department of Health (DOH)

Audience: Hawaiʻi’s community stakeholders and providers in the area of substance use prevention and treatment.

Course Contents: Importance of leaderships skills; defining leadership and the various types of leaders; leadership development; essential skills for any leader; resources for building leadership; how to find local funding to ensure sustainability; what qualities characterize a successful grant writer; writing a foundation grant; tips and tricks for grant writing.
