Each year, Foodland gives back to Hawai‘i nonprofits through the Give Aloha matching gifts program. Maika‘i members are invited to donate to participating organizations at checkout throughout the month of September, and this year, HIPHI is participating!
Through September 30, you can support HIPHI when you shop at any Foodland, Sack N Save, or Foodland Farms store. 100% of your gift—up to $249—will go directly to our organization, and Foodland will match a portion of your contribution.
How to Donate:
- Shop at Foodland or Sack N Save!
- Show your Maika‘i card to the cashier at checkout.
- Tell the cashier our code (79136) and the amount of your donation (up to $249).
- Review your receipt to confirm the following appears:
- Our organization name (HI Public Health)
- Your donation amount
- Your Maika’i number

Contribute to Foodland’s Matching Gift
Want your donation to go further? Foodland customers can also contribute to the Give Aloha matching gift! When you contribute to the matching gift, you help boost the impact of Give Aloha for HIPHI and other local nonprofits. There are multiple ways to contribute:
- Donate 250 Maika‘i points to equal a $5 contribution to the matching gift.
- Round up your purchase to the nearest dollar.
- Donate your change at the register.
- Buy a Give Aloha 2025 reusable bag, or zipper pouch.
- Dine at a Foodland restaurant or bar from September 22-29, 2025 and Foodland will donate a portion of proceeds from food and non-alcoholic beverage purchases to the Give Aloha matching gift. Participating locations: ELEVEN, et al., Mahi‘ai Table, Redfish Poke Bar, The Bar, Pau Hana Bar.
