Hawai‘i Public Health Institute is home to many public health programs, projects, and initiatives. We organize our work in four portfolios, each aimed at advancing the health and wellness of the people and islands of Hawai‘i.

Hawai‘i Public Health Institute is pleased to announce the Give Back, Get Back Education Loan Repayment Program (GB>GB), funded by the Hawaiʻi State Department of Health. GB>GB provides qualified educational loan repayment to public health professionals in an effort to increase workforce retention within the public health sector in Hawaiʻi. By minimizing the burden of student loan debt, GB>GB encourages employee retention to reduce workforce shortages and ensure the public health expertise stays in Hawaiʻi.
