Leadership Meets For Strategic Planning Session

On Saturday, November 18, the HICHW Association Leadership Council met to continue discussing and planning for the future direction of the HICHW Association. The Island Representatives from Hawai‘i Island, O‘ahu, Lānaʻi, and Kaua‘i shared the issues they currently face as CHWs on their respective islands. The Leadership Council also worked together to identify advocacy efforts to continue increasing awareness of the CHW profession throughout Hawai‘i.

With a few two-year terms ending, the Leadership Council also seeks to fill vacant positions. For more information on how to get involved with the Leadership Council or the Association, visit

2024 Conference Planning Committee Meets

Community Health Workers are gathering to plan the upcoming 2024 Hawai‘i Community Health Worker Conference! Our last in-person conference was held in 2022 at the Ko‘olau Ballrooms on the island of O‘ahu. Nearly 200 CHWs, allies, and employers registered to attend this all-day conference, with record-breaking attendance from our neighboring island CHWs. It was a day filled with rich discussions and training to continue the growth of the CHW profession in Hawai‘i.

If you want to help plan and empower CHWs for the 2024 conference, join our planning committee! The 2024 Conference Planning Committee meetings are every first Thursday of each month from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. If you are interested in joining the committee or any of the subcommittees, please contact us at
