Hawai‘i Farm to School Hui members held the first Hawai’i School Garden Talk Story online session on Friday, April 17th, 2020, and will be hosting a series of weekly online events in support of educators and school garden programs during school closures.
Guest speaker presentations on each topic (details and dates below) will take place from 2:30-3:30pm, with an optional thirty minute Q&A section from 3:30-4:00. During the Q&A, you can ask questions using the chat box and either our speakers or participants can contribute. We will keep it lively and interactive with your help and support!

Best Practices for Harvesting and Food Sharing – May 8, 2020, 2:30-4:00pm HST
Join this session to hear examples of how school gardens are harvesting and distributing to communities during school closure. Food safety practices will be shared.
School Garden Care and Management – May 13, 2020, 2:30-4:00pm HST
How is your garden being cared for during school closure? Hear from fellow school garden educators on how they are maintaining their gardens and bring your questions!
Supporting Home Gardening for Students – May 20, 2020, 2:30-4:00pm HST
Are you interested in supporting home gardening activities for your students and looking for ideas? This forum will share several examples of what you can do and suggest resources for getting started or planning for next school year.
