Hawai‘i Youth Food Council Applications Now Open!

The Hawai‘i Youth Food Council (HYFC) is excited to announce that our 2025–2026 open recruitment period is now underway!

HYFC is a statewide, youth-led program that empowers high school students from across Hawai‘i to engage in food system change through leadership, advocacy, and hands-on learning. Members will have opportunities to:

• Learn about local agriculture, food security, and sustainability
• Develop skills in leadership, testimony writing, and public speaking
• Connect with peers and mentors statewide
• Participate directly in shaping policies that impact Hawai‘i’s food system

Applications are open now and will be accepted until Friday, October 10, 2025.
