The East Hawaiʻi Drug-Free Coalition works to prevent and reduce substance misuse impacting keiki to kūpuna with a focus on eliminating underage drinking. Launched in spring 2020, the Coalition has recently conducted a community-wide assessment and planning process to begin implementing prevention strategies, organized sign waving events to raise awareness on the  impacts of underage drinking, and works to change the social norms around underage drinking.

East Hawai‘i Drug-Free Coalition Coordinator
Sally joined HIPHI in September 2010 as the East Hawai‘i Coalition Coordinator for CTFH and HEAL and in 2022 has transitioned to the East Hawai‘i Drug-Free Coalition Coordinator. She previously worked for the American Lung Association as the Hawai‘i Island Program Coordinator and brings a wealth of experience in tobacco prevention and control, as well as history with her local Coalition. She holds a BA from the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo.
