As Hawaiʻi’s population continues to age, Healthy Aging & Community Living works to strengthen the policies, programs, and community systems that help people live longer, healthier lives. Our work supports age friendly communities where kūpuna can age with dignity, safety, connection, and support.
Through community preparedness and resilience efforts, we also work to ensure older adults are supported before, during, and after emergencies, climate impacts, and other disruptions.
The Kūpuna Collective
The Kūpuna Collective is a growing network of over 320 member organizations and 500 individual members in Hawaiʻi. Co-coordinated by the Hawaiʻi Public Health Institute (HIPHI) and the University of Hawaiʻi Center on Aging, the network unites community groups, government agencies, and advocates to improve the health, safety, and well-being of older adults.
HIPHI is proud to be one of a select group of organizations recognized as an Age Friendly Public Health Institute, advancing healthy aging and stronger communities for kūpuna across Hawaiʻi. Learn more about the Age Friendly Public Health Systems recognized leaders.
