HIPHI Empowers Staff with Data and Evaluation Training Series

HIPHI has launched its Data and Evaluation (D&E) Training Series to increase HIPHI staff knowledge, capacity, and skills in data and evaluation related to their work.  As part of our effort to transform our data into actionable change, the training series will cover concepts and best practices that empower our staff—and, by extension, their communities—to own and leverage their data for their needs. The Data and Evaluation Team, Sairel Labasan and May Rose Dela Cruz, have been meeting with program leaders and staff to assess their data, evaluation, and training needs.  The training series will cover various topics in response to staff requests, from survey design and implementation to standard metrics, evaluation, and research. 

The series began with a training on Data Ethics on February 11, during which staff learned about the principles of data ethics, why they are important, and how they apply to our work at HIPHI. As public health practitioners who work directly with communities, we remain committed to ethical data practices that protect individuals and benefit participants and the wider community. Starting the training series with data ethics ensures that we remain rooted in our values and that all data activities center on the voices of the community.
