HOHC Coming to a Town Near You!

Hawai‘i Oral Health Coalition (HOHC), in collaboration with the State Department of Health Family Health Services Division and community partners, is bringing oral health stakeholders together in communities across every county this summer. 

Meetings are scheduled from May through September 2026, beginning on O‘ahu and concluding on Hawai‘i Island. They are open to everyone – community members, patients, public health advocates, organizational stakeholders, and anyone who cares about improving oral health in their community. Because every community has its own strengths, challenges, and opportunities, these meetings are designed to amplify local voices and put community knowledge about oral health needs at the center of the conversation. 

Here’s what to expect: 

• A report back on HOHC’s Strategic Plan activities, objectives, and outcomes, 
• A review and evaluation of recent initiatives,
• And an open discussion to identify locally relevant topics, gaps, and trends, from access to care and dental workforce shortages to education and awareness.

Participants will also have the chance to meet new partners and strengthen relationships for advancing oral health across the state. 

Our goal is for community members to share their lived experiences in ways that directly inform strategic planning, shape local and state policy, and develop solutions with lasting impact. So spread the word with your networks, partners, neighbors, and families, and let’s talk story!
