Maui & Lānaʻi: Since 2008, Grow Some Good has provided school garden programming and now supports over 7,000 students each year. School gardens are a key resource for learning, engaging with nature, and instilling healthy habits. As the local network of the Statewide Hawaiʻi Farm to School Hui, the Maui Farm to School Network’s mission is to reconnect our keiki to the ‘āina by showing them how to grow their own food in interdisciplinary and regenerative school gardens, thus creating greater avenues for secure and independent food systems. In addition, the Network promotes a direct connection between local food producers and our school food service providers for all K-12 schools, independent and public, including charter schools. Grow Some Good oversees and manages the Maui Farm to School Network.
