Ready to Skip the Nic? Ho‘ola Lāhui Hawai‘i is Here to Help Kaua‘i

If you live on Kaua‘i and are looking for support in your tobacco-free journey, Ho‘ola Lāhui Hawai‘i is here to help. Quitting tobacco is hard, but that doesn’t mean you have to do it alone.

When Hawai‘i passed its smoke-free workplaces law, cigarette smoking rates dropped, suggesting the policy encouraged more people to quit. Research shows that the most successful quit efforts combine several approaches: clinical intervention, accessible public health resources, behavioral support, and evidence-based medication. With Hawai‘i’s latest tobacco policies now in place, more people may be looking for that kind of support, whether they’re trying to quit cigarettes, e-cigarettes, other tobacco products, or a combination.

Ho’ola Lāhui Hawai’i (HLH), a tobacco cessation grant recipient from the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation, provides tobacco cessation services to adults — individually or in groups — at no cost to the client. HLH currently has four certified specialists who tailor quit plans to each client’s needs. You can schedule an appointment through their central scheduling line at 808-240-0100, or call a specialist directly:

  • Kaleigh: 808-652-4428
  • Amanda: 808-652-0038
  • Maria: 808-634-8888
  • Susan: 808-652-3393

HLH is a valued Tobacco-Free Kaua‘i (TFK) partner, not only for its work in tobacco control but also for its support of TFK’s mission and its broader work toward a healthy Kauaʻi.

About Ho‘ola Lāhui Hawai‘i

Ho‘ola Lāhui Hawai‘i (HLH) was established in 1986 on the west side of Kaua‘i. HLH is a Native Hawaiian Health Care System and a Federally Qualified Health Center, dedicated to improving the health and wellness of Native Hawaiians and the community on Kaua‘i and Ni‘ihau.
