[she/her] Kristell joined HIPHI in May 2022 and serves as HIPHI’s Policy and Advocacy Team member. She helps to lead and support the growth of HIPHI through the development and advancement of policies that address Hawaii’s public health, which includes tobacco prevention and control, healthy eating and active learning, social health determinants, oral health, and food systems resiliency. Before joining HIPHI, she worked at the Hawaii Department of the Attorney General as a Community and Crime Prevention Specialist. She has a bachelor’s degree in American Studies and a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Kristell spends her free time cooking for family and friends and reading.
