[she/her] Kathleen Corpuz joined the HIPHI team as our Program Manager on Community-based Research in December 2022. Previously, she worked at Partners in Development Foundation (PIDF) to coordinate project activities with justice-involved youth and community-based organizations. She has conducted research on Rates of Current Tobacco and Electronic Smoking Device Use Among Filipinos in Hawaiʻi to help improve tobacco cessation programs for Filipinos who are at risk of developing tobacco-related diseases. She completed a concurrent masterʻs degree in Asian American Studies and Community Health Sciences at the University of California Los Angeles in 2021. She loves to volunteer with friends planting kalo and enjoys exercising with her local CrossFit community.
