[she/her/any] Joining HIPHI in 2023, Kiara is an AmeriCorps VISTA member offering a wide range of support for the Kūpuna Collective as it grows to address critical issues for older adults in Hawai’i through transforming the narrative from kūpuna as beneficiaries to powerful change agents in building resilient communities. She holds a BS in Architectural Design and MS in Sustainability Science and Practice from Stanford University, reflecting her pursuit of good systems design in service of holistic health and well-being. After a near-death experience with an urchin on Big Island, Kiara will never again swim backwards in the ocean.
