What Does “Smoke-Free” Mean?
“Smoke-Free” means that smoking, including cigarettes, cigars, and e-cigarettes, is not allowed in certain public places to create a healthier environment for all to enjoy.

Maui County
All county and state parks and beaches are smoke-free [Maui County Code 13.040A.70; Hawai‘i Revised Statute §184-4.5]
O‘ahu
All county and state parks and beaches are smoke-free [Revised Ordinances of Honolulu 41-14.2; Hawai‘i Revised Statute §184-4.5]
Kaua‘i
All state beaches and parks and Lydgate Park (pavilion and Kamalani Playground) and Po‘ipū beach are smoke-free [Hawai‘i Revised Statute §184-4.5]
