Did you know that each year during the first full week of April, the American Public Health Association (APHA) brings together communities across the United States to observe National Public Health Week (NPHW)? We use this time as a way to honor the contributions of public health workers and highlight the most important issues facing our nation’s collective health.
This year’s NPHW theme is “Public Health is Where You Are.” And where we are, both physically and mentally, and even socially, all have an impact on our health.
There is a direct connection between your personal health, the health of your community, and the health of the land you live on.
To create safer, healthier and more welcoming communities, everyone needs equal access to financial security, food security, safe housing, and whole-person health care.
So in that spirit, we want to celebrate the week by playing a wellness game with you! Each activity in this game promotes holistic wellness and can be done no matter what your level of fitness you’re at with the whole ‘ohana. Check out the instructions below:
