Fentanyl and Addiction – Getting Straight to the Point

Dr. C Kimo Alameda will provide a presentation on the Fentanyl poisoning epidemic and how addictions impact the brain and solutions to address drug experimentation, addiction, and overdose deaths.

Learning Objectives: Participants will learn:
1. What is Fentanyl and how is Fentanyl seen in Hawaii.
2. What leads to Fentanyl experimentation, addiction, and overdose.
3. How to assess an opioid overdose and how to respond safely and effectively.
4. Key legislation that will help reduce addiction and overdose.
