Hawaiʻi Island Agrifood Summit

Please join us at the Hawaiʻi Island Agrifood Summit on August 14 & 15 to celebrate Hawaiʻi Islandʻs farmers, food producers, community leaders, and the partnerships building a stronger, more resilient local agriculture system!
Friday, August 14: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm at the Honokaʻa People’s Theatre
Hear from leaders across Hawaiʻi Island as they share the latest research, policy initiatives, community investments, and success stories advancing our local agrifood system. The Summit will feature the presentation of the Hawaiʻi Island Agrifood System Plan and Hawaiʻi Island Food Security Report, providing attendees with the latest information on opportunities and priorities for strengthening agriculture and food security across Hawaiʻi Island.
Additional program highlights include a legislative panel discussing current agricultural policy priorities, a panel featuring community commercial kitchens and their role in supporting local food businesses, the premiere of the Mālama Da Farmer film, a producer panel with Mālama Da Farmer award recipients, recognition of community leaders through the Agrifood Leadership Awards, a locally sourced lunch, and an evening pau hana with food and beverages available for purchase.

Saturday, August 15: 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the Waimea District Park
Bring your family and friends for a free afternoon celebrating Hawaiʻi Island agriculture, local food, and community with live local music, free hands-on activities for all ages, local food vendors, Hawaiʻi-made artisans and craft vendors, and community organizations sharing programs and resources that support local agriculture and food systems.
