“Out of Darkness Walks” for World Suicide Awareness & Prevention Day

September 10th is World Suicide Awareness & Prevention Day. Every two days we lose someone in Hawai‘i to suicide. All of can do something to honor and recognize this by making it safe to talk about it. There are suicide prevention task forces on every island that have community activities and we are planning two “Out of Darkness Walks”.
- One will be downtown, on Oahu and the other is in Hilo.

Please register to find out more about the many resources and guides that are available through the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The Hawai‘i Chapter is excited to have volunteers that are dedicated to bringing people together to connect in person for the first time in a long time!
