Ride of Silence

Hawaii Cycling Club’s Annual “Ride of Silence” in memory of those cyclists who have been fatally or seriously injured is scheduled for May 24, 2025, with the ride starting at 9:30 AM at the Kona Swimming Pool.
Hawaii County Police will escort cyclists – not to exceed 12 mph – along the two mile course – Swimming Pool to Ali Dr. to Hualali to Kuakini Highway back to the Swimming Pool.
Cyclists ride in silence.
All cyclists are welcome. Arrive at 9:00 AM for Talk Story, organization, and to hear a short presentation on the Ride of Silence.
The Ride of Silence on the Big Island is celebrated on Saturday in May so as to not interfere with weekday traffic in Kailua-Kona. The Ride of Silence is implemented World Wide usually on the third Wednesday in May.
Registration: Day of Ride between 9:00 and 9:15 AM.
