Webinar: Long COVID & Trauma Panel

Domestic violence is a form of trauma. Ongoing exposure to trauma causes the body’s nervous system to change. When this happens, the immune system weakens to accomodate the overwhelmed nervous system, making the body more vulnerable to illnesses like COVID-19 and Long COVID.
Hawaiʻi State Coalition Against Domestic Violence is hosting a panel on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 11 AM – 12 PM HST on the connections between long COVID, trauma, and domestic violence.
In this panel, we will learn from three incredible speakers who have expertise in understanding and treating trauma, COVID-19, and Long COVID. Let’s discuss these connections so we can better understand how to support survivors experiencing trauma and illness. Bring any questions!
