It’s that time of year again! Kick Butts Day event at the State Capitol is right around the corner! If you are a high school or college student in the state of Hawai‘i, we invite you to join us on Tuesday, March 20, from 9 AM – 3 PM! Register at

If you are new to Kick Butts Day, it is a national day of activism that empowers kids and young adults to stand-out, speak-up, and seize control against Big Tobacco. Thousands of youth will be participating in activities across the nation with our local events focusing on tobacco-free school buffer zones, which would prohibit the sale of tobacco and vaping products within 500 feet of schools and playgrounds.

We will gather in the morning at St. Andrew’s Priory for some advocacy training and discussion, followed by lunch and then a youth rally at the Hawai‘i State Capitol. After the rally, short office visits will give participants the opportunity to engage with their legislators and share about issues that matter most to them.

A limited number of travel scholarships are available for neighbor island participants. Learn more and register at
