At HIPHI, advancing policy is a major part of our organization’s mission and goals. As a result, we host an annual policy and advocacy training to empower new and aspiring advocates with the information and skills needed to make a change in their community.

Due to the pandemic this year, our training was turned into an online series leading up to the 2021 legislative session! The sessions were designed to build on each other, starting with an introduction to policy, then guiding participants through different aspects of successful advocacy (organizing, communications, and telling your story), and closing with a legislative panel. Even if you missed them, you can view past sessions here. Register for the remaining January session today!

These trainings were organized by Hawaiʻi Children’s Action Network, Hawaiʻi Public Health Institute, Blue Zones Project Hawaiʻi, Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest and Hawaiʻi, Hawaiʻi Appleseed Center for Law and Economic Justice, Common Cause Hawaiʻi, Hawaiʻi Alliance of Nonprofit Organizations, and PHOCUSED.
