[she/her] Maribel joined HIPHI in February 2026 as the Food Access Community Organizer, where she will organize the community to support policy efforts that will help end hunger for families in Hawai’i. Prior to joining HIPHI, Maribel worked for 8 years with the Service Employee International Union. She is passionate about social and economic justice. Maribel holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from Chaminade University. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family.
