Supporting Keiki’s Mental Health

Every May is Mental Health Awareness Month. This year, Keiki Heroes honored National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day by providing families and educators with two new FREE materials that they could use as a resource to help keiki identify their feelings.

Our mental health affects our emotional health. Mental health refers to one’s ability to process information, whereas emotional health refers to one’s ability to express feelings based on the information you have processed.

You can empower keiki to identify and label their feelings based on their experiences. Children who can identify their emotions and what caused them can better manage what they are feeling.
