This position seeks to build collaborative capacity within Maui County’s (Maui, Molokai and Lānaʻi) food and commercial agriculture systems to advance high-impact systems interventions. This position will also be responsible to initiate community-building efforts and develop and maintain an active community coalition within a geographic or program area in support of public health. DOH State Epidemiologist
The Hawaiʻi State Department of Health (DOH) seeks a talented epidemiologist to serve with the Surveillance, Evaluation, and Epidemiology Office (SEEO). The office is located at the DOH’s Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Division (CDPHPD). CDPHPD oversees and coordinates statewide chronic disease prevention and health promotion programs to reduce risks for chronic disease through policies, systems, and environmental changes. The SEEO oversees the maintenance of an information infrastructure for the collection, analysis and utilization of data and enhances public access to selected data collected by the Department. The SEEO provides epidemiology, statistical, and evaluation analytic support to the programs within CDPHPD and maintains the contract with the Hawaiʻi Health Data Warehouse (HHDW), a central repository for many Department data sets.
