2025 Kaua‘i Food Systems Summit

The 2025 Kaua‘i Food Systems Summit will be a weekend of talk story sessions and hands-on activities focused on strengthening Hawai‘i’s food systems, from policy to practice. On Friday, September 19, panels will feature community leaders, farmers, and advocates discussing agriculture and food access legislation, farm to school efforts, resources for farmers, innovative food access programs, and pathways to return land stewardship to Native Hawaiian communities.

The weekend continues with experiential events September 20–21, including workdays at Prince Kuhio Park, Pu‘ulima ‘Auwai, and ʻAlekoko Fishpond, as well as a coconut workshop, community movie night, and a local pop-up speakeasy benefiting kūpuna food programs. These gatherings offer opportunities to learn, connect, and take part in shaping a more resilient and equitable food future for Hawai‘i.
