A Comunity Conversation on Opioid Use Disorder

September 17, 2025 - September 18, 2025
Free

This is not an academic workshop about stigma. It is a conversation for participants to explore stigma, how we support people with substance use disorder (SUD) and their families, and how we work together in our communities to reduce stigma. We use video interviews of people with lived experience to facilitate discussion, making it very interactive.
Made possible by the Hawaiʻi State Rural Health Association, the University of Rochester and assistance by the Kauaʻi Rural Health Association and the County of Kauaʻi – Office of the Prosecuting Attorney.

There are two sessions to participate in; the last event is the Facilitation Leader Training:
Wed. Sent 17, 1pm-4pm or Thu. Sept. 18, 8:30am-11:30am
Facilitation Leader Training: Thu. Sept. 18. 1pm-4:30pm *

All trainings will be at the Kamehameha Schools Lumi Papa room (3201 Akahi St., Lihue)
